The Tower is playing with a famous national monument and
question its greatness. It is a copy made of cheap materials, which is placed in an everyday context. The structure is bended, trying to fit within the boundaries of the physical space and architecture.
As the oversized monument is forced and subordinated to the space, its dignity and grandeur evaporate. Instead, the spectator perceive the monument as pitiful; a figure too small to be a real monument, but too big to ever be able to leave the space. It suggests a new, reversed understanding where the monumental and
public adapt, or maybe is expelled, to a common, ordinary setting.
